Ministry of Supply Apollo 3 Polo Review – The best polo for under $100 for everything?

Ministry of Supply claims that their $75 polo is 19 times more breathable than cotton. But this is the Ministry of Supply Apollo 3 Polo review, and we don’t take what companies state for granted because sometimes companies say things that aren’t true. Is this the best polo for under $100 for everything or should you get a polo for a fraction of the price from a company like Everlane, or perhaps something around the same price, from a very well known company?

We Flew All the Way to Bangkok to Test This “19 Times More Breathable” Statement

Yep, we went on an 11-hour flight just to test out if this Ministry of Supply Apollo 3 is as breathable as they say. And there’s no better way of doing a breathability test in a Ministry of Supply Apollo 3 Polo review than by being in conditions where breathability is the problem.

Bangkok is very humid. It’s also very hot. And the pollution doesn’t help either. Those are the perfect conditions for a test. Testing in Europe or the US is not worth much around this time. To feel breathability compared to cotton polo’s you really need to be in a city like Bangkok.

We love wearing Thompson Tee. I personally sweat a lot in the armpit section, regardless of the weather, and not having a Thompson Tee, well, that would not end well. It’s that undershirt that blocks out all armpit sweat. It’s also that undershirt that isn’t fully breathable everywhere, and even wearing that, I felt a tremendous difference as far as cotton vs. Ministry of Supply materials is concerned. In Bangkok, you are never truly going to feel great, but I felt significantly less heat hit my upper body wearing it due to that breathability. And things like the wind were also felt a lot more, and that made an enormous difference. 19 times more breathable than cotton? I can’t say that it’s exactly 19 times more breathable but I can say that it’s significantly more breathable than any other polo that I, or we ever tried.

And that’s due to technology that this polo has, that was actually developed by NASA that allows for amazing body regulation both when it’s hot and colder.

Most Compact Polo There Is

All polos are pretty much compact and do not take up that much space, but if we are going to make a Ministry of Supply Apollo 3 Polo review, then we better mention everything great and bad about it.

The Ministry of Supply Apollo 3 fabric isn’t just breathable. It’s also very compact. You can fold it several times more than a typical polo merely due to the fabric. It’s more silky feeling. And while with polos it doesn’t make as much of a difference as with blazers, it still makes a tremendous difference when you just have a carry-on and backpack with you on a full-month trip. Trust me on that.

But Will the Polo Not Get Wrinkles If You Fold It?

When it comes to clothing being able to fold something is a big feature for me. The thing is that all polos are foldable enough. But Ministry of Supply really stands out when it comes to wrinkles. Forget about them.

If you are looking for a Ministry of Supply Apollo 3 Polo review with that one key feature, this is it.

Maybe you go on business trips often. You need products that you can change into the second you land, without having to iron them. That’s what Ministry of Supply does with all of their products.

As somebody that has been all over the world, most places either don’t have irons or has pathetic irons.

If you worry about wrinkles, get this Ministry of Supply Apollo 3 Polo or any other of their products.

The Comfort Situation

This is the most comfortable polo I ever have worn. If you are wondering if this is the best polo for under $100, everything you see mentioned here so far makes it for sure, and it only costs $75. Cotton has a decent enough feeling. The materials on this, damn, it’s not silk, but it sure feels like it. You get that silky smooth cold kind feel on the Apollo 3 polos, and that really makes it a pleasure to wear this polo.

Oh, and the polo is great for movement. Like really great.  But there’s also a dark side to comfort…

The Sizing Is Kind of an Issue for a Bunch of People

I got two versions. One S and one XS. The XS, it fits my overall better in terms of how much material there is but could be slightly longer on the sleeves. The S? It’s the same problem reversed. However, of course, everyone has their unique fitting, That’s why a slim version would be a great addition to the polos. That would eliminate excess material for a lot of people.

But this is not the main sizing issue we need to mention. The sizing issue is that if an XS can fit me pretty good not including the sleeves being slightly too big, then, well, what about people smaller than me? I’m 175cm or 5’9″, and well, I know plenty of people smaller than me. And if you are, well, you are missing out on great products, and the best polo for under $100 will not be the best for you, then.

Ministry of Supply Apollo 3 Polo Review – The Best Polo for Under $100?

$75 for a polo that does not require ironing. For a polo that’s more comfortable and foldable than anything out there. For a polo that is breathable. What else do you want? It’s not just the best polo for under $100, it’s the best polo overall unless you are looking for a polo merely for the brand name, and we don’t do that. We review products based on features, not name.

Ultimately we reviewed this polo in Thailand and South Korea, but it has been used much prior, and after this Ministry of Supply Apollo 3 Polo review, you are looking for other Ministry of Supply products, we also recently made a review of their $200 blazer.
